Unwind with Home-made Ashwagandha Milk

A mug of Ashwagandha milk is the perfect addition to a dreary winter evening when you just want to curl up in bed with a good book. Ashwagandha is not only famous for promoting relaxation, but it also helps to boost the immune system - which is something we all could benefit from during cold and flu season. Ingredients:

Serving size: These measurements are used to make one serving/mug.

  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon of Ashwagandha Powder
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of rose water
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg powder

Directions:

 

  1. Combine your almond milk, Ashwagandha powder, black pepper, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a saucepan. Heat the mixture until the milk begins to steam.
  2. Once the milk begins to steam, turn the heat off and cover the pan with a lid. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes.

  3. Once 15 minutes has passed, strain the milk to remove any spices, and turn the heat back on low. 

  4. Stir in your honey until it is fully dissolved.

  5. Add in the rose water.

  6. Garnish with an extra dash of cinnamon, and enjoy!
