Moringa Source would like to announce its recent hire of Mary Sheppard, who will be working with the company as a Social Media Marketer, effective May 23rd, 2016
“I’m very excited to be joining this company,” Mary said, “We share similar values in regards to organics, health, and avoiding GMO’s, so I feel this position is a good fit for me on both a professional and personal level. I hope to bring new ideas and insight to the table with my writing, as well as connect with our loyal customer base and help it to grow.”
Mary graduated as a dean’s list recipient from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT, with a degree in Professional Writing and a focus in Journalism. She was the Managing Editor of the university’s student-run newspaper, The Echo, and also volunteered as a peer tutor within the residence halls. This past spring she volunteered as an ambassador and adviser with the International Student Exchange Program – the program through which she spent the fall semester of her senior year backpacking throughout Europe and studying abroad in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. Additionally, Mary was a student at New Haven’s Educational Center for the Arts, where she studied various mediums of visual art, and participated in American Sign Language classes.
Prior to accepting this position, Mary was doing mostly freelance writing. She has had her work published in The Hartford Courant, The Minuteman Press of Westport and Fairfield, worldorganicnews.com, and the Black and White Literary Journal.
